Med-Net Suicide Prevention, offers the training programs and other resources available on this site to prepare staff and other interested parties so they can improve the lives of elders in long-term care settings.
Specifically designed to support prevention and detection of suicide ideation or suicide attempts by elder adults, these materials include a range of topics to help settings develop suicide prevention programs and expand the knowledge of staff and others about depression and suicide ideation, raise their awareness of this serious issue that impacts elders, and prepare them to respond immediately to suicide attempts should they occur.
