Betty Frandsen, MHA, NHA, RN, has over 35 years of experience in long-term care. She currently serves as the President of Med-Net Academy, a Member of Med-Net Concepts’ network of Healthcare Compliance and Consulting Companies, of West Windsor, NJ. Previously she was the Vice President of Professional Development at Med-Net Compliance, LLC; Director of Clinical Education for NADONA/LTC; and AANAC’s Nurse Leader Curriculum Development Specialist for 7 years. Betty held the position of director of nursing for 14 years, and is a licensed nursing home administrator in Pennsylvania and New York where she successfully managed facilities ranging in size from 77 to 356 beds. She served as a culture change consultant to nursing homes in New York, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania while working for the Institute for Caregiver Education, and was their grant writer and editor/primary author for an online classroom for nursing home administrators. Betty is past president of NADONA/LTC, was their Legislative Coordinator in Washington DC for five years, was a founding member of the Pennsylvania Culture Change Coalition, and served on its board of directors.
