The Department of Health Services (DHS) and Department of Administration (DOA) have recently contracted with a staffing agency to assist in hiring more staff for healthcare and skilled nursing facilities. This contract is the latest in a list of efforts by Governor Evers and his administration to boost staffing at facilities across the state. “Our healthcare and skilled nursing facility staff have been on the front lines of this pandemic since the beginning,” said DHS Secretary-designee Andrea Palm. “We will continue doing whatever we can to reduce the burden on them. Helping to ensure that our healthcare system has adequate staff to continue caring for all their patients and residents is a key component to the state’s COVID-19 response.”
