Senator Introduces Bill to Protect Healthcare Professionals from Workplace Violence

As the nation celebrates National Nurses Week, US Senator Baldwin, a member of the Senate Employment and Workplace Safety Subcommittee, introduced legislation to protect healthcare and social services employees from workplace violence. The Workplace Violence Prevention for Health Care and Social Service Workers Act directs OSHA to issue a standard requiring healthcare and social service employers to write and implement a workplace violence prevention plan to prevent and protect their employees from violent incidents.
