SC AG Announces Darlington Woman Charged with Forgery, Medicaid Fraud

South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson announced that his office’s Vulnerable Adults and Medicaid Provider Fraud unit (VAMPF) has arrested Angela D. Harrison, 51 years old, of Darlington, SC, on one count of Forgery, value $10,000 or more and one count of Medical Assistance Provider Fraud. Harrison was booked into the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center on March 26, 2025. An investigation by VAMPF revealed that, between October 10, 2023, and August 7, 2024, Harrison is alleged to have knowingly and willfully made false claims for payments to the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, the agency that administers the State’s Medicaid program. Specifically, it is alleged that Harrison, as an early interventionist with ABC’s of Learning, did sign and present false time sheets and clinician notes indicating that she provided services to multiple Medicaid beneficiaries when in fact she had not. Investigators allege that these false claims and forgeries totaled more than a $10,000 loss to the SC Medicaid program.
