South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson announced that his office’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit (SCMFCU) arrested Jasmine G. Lucas, 27 years old, of Hanahan, SC, for Forgery, less than $10,000 and Medical Assistance Provider Fraud. Lucas was booked into the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center on March 10, 2022. An SCMFCU investigation revealed that between the dates of November 1, 2021, and February 1, 2022, Lucas, while employed with Addus Homecare, knowingly and willfully caused false claims for payment by the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services’ Medicaid Program. Specifically, it is alleged that Lucas forged signatures on fraudulent time sheets for services that were never rendered to a South Carolina Medicaid beneficiary who lived in Charleston County.
