Colorado Physician Sentenced to Federal Prison for Taking Bribes

The US Attorney’s Office for the District of Colorado announces that Dr. Jeffrey Kesten, age 61, formerly of Evergreen, Colorado, was sentenced to 24 months in federal prison, to be followed by three years of supervised release, for conspiring to violate the Anti-Kickback Statute, in connection with a scheme to take bribes and kickbacks from a pharmaceutical company in exchange for prescribing a powerful fentanyl spray to his chronic pain patients.
