With the public health emergency (PHE) set to expire on January 16th, the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL) sent a letter to US Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Xavier Becerra to request an extension of the PHE declaration as long-term care providers continue to fight COVID-19.
