Who We Are
Med-Net Concepts, and its network of compliance, education, and consulting companies (collectively “Med-Net”), specializes in compliance and ethics management, regulatory consulting, risk management, quality assurance, education, and communication programs for the long-term and post-acute care (LTPAC) sector.
What We Do
Med-Net is your compliance and ethics partner. The compliance and ethics programs and supportive content we offer cover all important aspects of being compliance proficient in the LTPAC sector. Med-Net’s programs are complemented by a staff that have walked the halls for hundreds of collective years and understand the work of those owning and operating these facilities. Med-Net is structured to address all the compliance, consultative, and educational needs of our clients to support their quest for meeting regulatory requirements.
Med-Net Concepts, Inc. is an umbrella company that encompasses all elements of support for its subsidiary companies: Med-Net Healthcare Consulting, Med-Net Compliance, and Med-Net Academy.
Med-Net Healthcare Consulting LLC provides a dedicated support team for organizations faced with an official regulatory notice of inadequacy or deficiency or quality improvement initiative.
Med-Net Academy, LLC is an educational extension of the Med-Net Concepts family of services, helping LTC organizations to stay abreast of, and in compliance with, regulatory requirements.
Med-Net Compliance, LLC provides expertise in helping skilled nursing centers and assisted living communities by working collaboratively with them to build a compliance and ethics program that helps them to stay on track with regulatory compliance.

Our clients want to sleep at night knowing they are compliance proficient which will prevent and mitigate Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and state Departments of Health (DOH) deficiencies and civil monetary penalties. Compliance proficient means expert at dealing with laws and regulations.

About Our Founder
David S. Barmak, Esq.
JD, CEO
David S. Barmak, Esq. received a J.D. from Cornell University and a BA from Duke University. David has lectured and written on various issues affecting healthcare providers and organizations, including topics such as corporate compliance programs, antitrust concerns, integrated delivery systems, and managed care contracting. His legal expertise is in the areas of corporate compliance, risk management, human resources, operational legal affairs, litigation, and advocacy.
David has a strong background in litigation and operations, having served as both the associate administrator and general counsel for a large New York certified home health agency, initiating and directing a New York licensed home care services agency, and owning and operating a durable medical equipment company.
David is admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut.

Founded by David S. Barmak, Esq. J.D., Med-Net has been at the forefront of healthcare compliance and ethics since 1997. Our journey began when Mr. Barmak recognized a crucial need in the healthcare industry: compliance programs that work from the inside out.
Drawing from his expertise as a healthcare lawyer and personal experience in the medical equipment industry, Mr. Barmak established Med-Net with a clear mission – to help healthcare facilities implement effective compliance and ethics programs that detect, prevent, mitigate, and abate fraud, waste, and abuse.
What sets us apart is our deep understanding of both the legal and operational aspects of healthcare compliance. Starting with just one nurse, we’ve grown into a comprehensive team of healthcare professionals dedicated to helping facilities navigate complex regulations while maintaining high standards of care.
Today, Med-Net continues to serve as a trusted partner for nursing homes and healthcare facilities across the country, providing innovative solutions that align with mandatory compliance requirements while fostering operational excellence.
